Freshfields awarded a place on the Stonewall Top Global Employers List 2017

  • This year’s list highlights 12 leading multinational employers for lesbian, gay, bi and trans staff
Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP (‘Freshfields’) has been named to the Stonewall Top Global Employers List 2017, which showcases the leading multinational employers for lesbian, gay, bi and trans staff.

12 organisations were highlighted in the list this year, which is compiled from submissions made to the Global Workplace Equality Index, a benchmarking tool created by Stonewall and used by employers to foster inclusive workplaces across the markets in which they operate. The Index enables organisations to navigate the important challenge of upholding inclusive values around the world.

In compiling the list, Stonewall takes into consideration employee policy, training, staff engagement, leadership, monitoring, procurement, community engagement and local and in-country activity around LGBT issues. This is the third year in a row that Freshfields has been named a Top Global Employer. The firm has also been named to the Top 100 UK employers by Stonewall’s Workplace Equality Index every year since 2014, when it became the first law firm to break into the Top 100.

The Top Global Employers 2017 is to be launched by Stonewall and the UK Foreign Secretary, Boris Johnson, at a reception at the Andaz Liverpool Street Hotel on the evening of 3 July 2017.
