Freshfields recognised at Asia Legal Awards 2018

Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer (‘Freshfields’) has been recognised for its work in the annual Asia Legal Awards, a respected region-wide legal industry awards programme. The firm won four awards:
 

  • Partner Robert Ashworth was named International M&A Lawyer  of the Year;

 

  • Partner Nicholas Lingard was named International Arbitration Lawyer of the Year;

 

  • Our work advising China Unicom (Hong Kong) Ltd. on its US$11.3bn mixed ownership reform transaction was named Technology, Media and Telecommunications Deal of the Year;

 

  • Our work advising on Rosneft’s refinery at Tuban in Indonesia was named Energy and Infrastructure Deal of the Year.


These awards reinforce the industry recognition Freshfields won earlier this month at the IFLR Asia Awards 2018, where the firm was named  M&A Firm of the Year, Pro Bono Team of the Year and also won M&A Deal of the Year award for its work advising Essar Energy Holdings Ltd on the sale of a large stake in Essar Oil.
