Freshfields advises Liberty Global on sale to Vodafone

Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP (‘Freshfields’) has advised Liberty Global plc, the world’s largest international TV and broadband company, on the sale of its operations in Germany, Hungary, Romania and the Czech Republic to Vodafone for a total enterprise value of approximately €19bn.

The Freshfields team is being led by partners David Sonter and David Brooks, with support from senior associate Rhys Evans.  Antitrust advice is being led by partner Sascha Schubert, tax advice by partner Peter Clements, German corporate advice by partner Jochen Ellrott, German regulatory advice by partners Frank Röhling and Klaus Beucher, and employment advice by partners Alice Greenwell and Boris Dzida.
