Freshfields elects new China partner

Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer has promoted Beijing-based counsel Yuxin Shen to the partnership from 1st June 2018.

Yuxin Shen is a member of the firm’s Global Transactions practice. He has over a decade of experience advising clients ranging from Chinese state-owned and privately owned enterprises, sovereign wealth funds, private and listed companies and financial institutions on M&A, China corporate and commercial law matters, leveraging his considerable experience in dealing with Chinese financial regulations.

“Yuxin has built a strong following in China, earning the respect of clients and peers alike in both transactional and advisory contexts since he joined the firm in 2007,” said Teresa Ko, partner and Freshfields’ China chairman. “He is a highly client-focused lawyer and I am confident that he will be a valuable asset to our partner bench in China going forward.”

“Together with my fellow Asia partners, I would like to congratulate Yuxin on joining the partnership,” said Georgia Dawson, Freshfields’ Asia managing partner. “He has an impressive track record advising some of the firm’s key clients on their most business-critical transactions. This milestone is well deserved and I’m delighted that we are adding a lawyer of Yuxin’s calibre to our China partnership.”
