Freshfields advises Guotai Junan Securities on US$406m H-share placement
Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer (‘Freshfields’) has advised Guotai Junan Securities Co., Ltd. (‘Guotai Junan Securities’) on the placement of 194,000,000 new H-shares with a value of approximately US$406m (‘the placing shares’). The transaction closed on 17 April 2019.Guotai Junan Securities is a leading Chinese securities company providing integrated financial services. The placing shares represent approximately 2.2 per cent of its total issued share capital as enlarged by the allotment and issue of the placing shares. The funds raised by the placing are intended to be used to supplement the company’s capital base, replenish its working capital and support its business development.
