Freshfields advises Flutter Entertainment plc on its merger with The Stars Group Inc.
Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP (‘Freshfields’) has advised Flutter Entertainment plc (‘Flutter’), a global sports betting, gaming and entertainment provider, on its merger with The Stars Group Inc. (‘TSG’), a global leader in the online, mobile gaming and interactive entertainment industries, announced this morning.
Flutter (previously Paddy Power Betfair plc) is a longstanding client of Freshfields.
The Freshfields team was led by partner Oliver Lazenby, who also advised on the 2015/16 merger of Paddy Power plc and Betfair plc, as well as Flutter’s recent acquisition of Adjarabet.
The Freshfields team also included partners Deirdre Trapp and Alex Potter (Antitrust), Martin Hutchings (Finance), Peter Clements (Tax) and Alice Greenwell (Employment).
