Freshfields advises on CMGE Technology Group Limited’s listing on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange

Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer (‘Freshfields’) has advised China International Capital Corporation Hong Kong Securities Limited and BNP Paribas, joint sponsors and underwriters in the global offering and listing of shares of CMGE Technology Group Limited (‘CMGE Technology’) on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. The global offering raised proceeds of approximately US$149m. Trading in the shares started on 31 October 2019.
 
CMGE Technology is a leading IP-based game operator and publisher, focusing primarily on IPs relating to well-known cultural products and art works. The company holds licenses for over 31 IPs and owns 68 proprietary IPs, operating 73 games. It has industry-leading and multifaceted global publishing capabilities and is one of the largest mobile game publishing networks in China. It intends to use the proceeds of its IPO to expand and enhance its IP-based game publishing and development business; conduct M&A activities of participants in the mobile game ecosystem; and for general corporate purposes.
