Freshfields has advised ENGIE on the closing of a « club deal » credit facility of 2.5 billion euros

Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP (Freshfields) has advised the French multinational electric utility company, ENGIE S.A. (Engie) on the implementation of a new revolving credit facility amounting to 2.5 billion euros.

The « club deal » credit facility which groups together five French and international banks in their capacity as arrangers, bookrunners and lenders, has an initial maturity of twelve months and is subject to several extensions and includes an accordion option at Engie’s initiative.

The banks involved in the implementation of the new facility for Engie include BNP Paribas, Crédit Agricole CIB, Natixis, Mizuho Bank, Ltd, Société Générale and UniCredit Bank AG.
