Freshfields advises on spin-off listing of China Resources Mixc in Hong Kong

Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer (‘Freshfields’) has provided Hong Kong and US law advice to the joint sponsors and the underwriters in the global offering and listing of shares of China Resources Mixc Lifestyle Services Limited (‘China Resources Mixc’) on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (‘HKSE’). Trading in the shares started today (9 December 2020)

The transaction was a spin-off listing of the issuer by its parent company, HKSE-listed China Resourced Land, which raised US$1.58bn. Over many years, Freshfields has advised on some of China Resources’ most significant equity capital markets transactions, including the HK listings and IPOs of China Resources Pharmaceutical in 2016 and China Resources Cement in 2009.

China Resources Mixc is a leading property management and commercial operational service provider in China. It provides property management and value-added services to one of the largest portfolios of residential properties. It also manages and operates a diversified and growing portfolio of commercial properties of shopping malls and office buildings.

The Freshfields team advising on the transaction was led by partners Jason Xu and Calvin Lai. Partner Claude Stansbury provided US tax advice.
