Freshfields advises SumUp on proposed acquisition of Tiller Systems

Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer is advising SumUp, the global mobile payment services provider, on its proposed acquisition of Tiller Systems, a leading European digital service provider for gastronomy merchants. Based in Paris, Tiller Systems develops cloud-based point-of-sale (POS) systems for restaurants and retailers in France, Spain and Italy.

 

SumUp is the leading mobile point-of-sale company in Europe, serving over two million businesses in 31 countries including Germany, the U.S. and Brazil.

 

Completion of the acquisition is subject to customary closing conditions. A multi-jurisdictional Freshfields team based across Germany, France, Italy and Spain is advising SumUp on all legal aspects of this transaction.
