Freshfields advises Atlas Food on the sale of CÉMOI Group to Sweet Products

Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer (‘Freshfields’) has advised Atlas Food on the entrance into exclusive negotiations for the sale of CÉMOI Group, the leading French chocolate company, to Sweet Products, the Belgian family group.

The joining of CÉMOI Group and Sweet Products will create the premier vertically integrated family-owned chocolate group in Europe. The merger of these two Groups, will represent a turnover of more than 1.2 billion euros with over 5,000 employees ensuring continuous and sustainable future growth.

The completion of the transaction is subject to legal consultations and the approval of relevant competition authorities.
